We’re a friendly, family run free house deep in the heart of beautiful Mid Wales. Conveniently situated on the A470 trunk road in the quiet village of Carno.

A warm and welcoming traditional country pub with low-beamed ceilings, old style plaster and beamed walls and exposed stone walls, the crackling log fires add further to the rustic charm. Locals and travellers alike gather here to enjoy hearty meals, hand-pulled ales, and lively conversation. The scent of home cooked food drifts from the kitchen and it’s a place where community thrives and stories are shared over pints, just as they have been for generations.

We have a varied wine list supplied by renowned wine merchants Tanners Wines of Shrewsbury. We are also pleased to offer a large array of Lagers, Beers, Spirits and locally brewed real ales for you to enjoy as well as Hawkstone lager and cider available on tap.
